Flagler Portraits-11

1. Year, major(s)/minor(s), plans after you graduate:

I am a sophomore majoring in journalism with a minor in English. I would like to one day write for a magazine or newspaper of some sort, and somewhere down the road I’d like to write a book.

2. What’s the last book you read for fun?

The last book I read for fun was a compilation of short stories by Ernest Hemingway.

3. Coffee or tea?

4. If you could be any literary character for a day, who would you be and why?

If I could, I would be Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice. I know it sounds cliché, but even though we love the books, a lot of literary characters are terrible people. Elizabeth Bennet, however, is smart, independent, full of life, and effortlessly cool. I would love to be Jane Austen’s heroine.

5. Quote to live by:

“Don’t trade in your authenticity for approval.”
