1. Year, major(s)/minor(s), plans after you graduate:
Sophomore, Art History major/Creative Writing and Anthropology Minor. My plan after I graduate is to hopefully intern/find a job at a museum in New York City, go to grad school and get my masters in Asian art, and then travel to Japan to be around the art there.
2. What’s the last book you read for fun?
The last book I read for fun was Sula by Toni Morrison and it was honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read. 10/10 would recommend, it’s more beautiful than any poem.
3. Coffee or tea?
4. If you could be any literary character for a day, who would you be and why?
Probably Cathy from John Steinbeck’s East of Eden. I know that she’s a really cruel and evil character and you’re probably wondering why I’d want to be someone so terrible, but her character is so well-written, so intricate, so complex and wild and unlike any character written before, that I would love to be her for a day just to truly figure out why she is the way she is.
5. Quote to live by:
Can I quote a poem? “Tell them you don’t know how Eve felt when she saw Adam in one hand, and the rest of the universe in the other. Tell them you don’t know how Eve felt when she wanted the universe.”
